코로나 19로 인한 사회복지사의 일상생활 기능방해 정도가 우울에 미치는 영향: 코로나 스트레스의 매개 효과

초록

본 연구는 코로나 19 재난상황에서 증가한 사회복지서비스를 공공·민간 영역에서 전달하는 사회복지사들이 경험한 일상생활 기능방해 정도와 우울의 관계를 살펴보고, 이 관계에 미치는 코로나 스트레스의 매개 효과를 검증하는데 목적이 있다. 연구대상은 전라북도 사회복지기관 4,240개소를 사회복지 영역별, 시설유형별로 할당 표집하여 선정한 전체 50개 사회복지기관에 근무하고 있는 사회복지사 1,000명을 대상으로 2020.7.28.-8.30 기간 동안 온·오프라인 병행 설문조사를 실시하였다. 최종 응답한 932명의 자료를 SPSS 22.0 과 AMOS 22.0을 이용하여 구조방정식으로 분석하였다. 연구결과 첫째, 코로나 19에 따른 사회복지사들의 사회/여가활동 기능, 가정생활 기능, 직업기능의 방해정도가 높은 것으로 나타났고, 코로나 스트레스 경험수준이 일반인의 3배 가량 높게 나타났다. 둘째, 사회복지사들의 우울 위험군이 19.0%로 일반 국민 우울 위험군과 비교하여 5배 이상 높게 나타났고, 특히 여성 사회복지사와 농촌지역 사회복지사의 우울증 위험이 더 높은 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 코로나 19로 인한 일상생활 기능방해 정도는 우울 수준에 유의미한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났고, 이 관계에서 코로나 스트레스는 부분 매개 효과를 보이는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 결과를 바탕으로 코로나 19 재난 상황에서 사회복지사들이 실천현장에서 경험하는 기능방해 및 스트레스를 경감시키고 우울문제를 효과적으로 관리하기 위한 실천적, 정책적 방안들을 제언하였다.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to examine the effect of daily life dysfunction(social, occupational, family life) caused by the COVID-19 on depression experienced by social workers who deliver social welfare services and to verify the mediating effect of COVID-19 stress. The study subject were 932 social workers from 50 social welfare facilities in Jeollabuk-do and date were collected from July 28 to September 30, 2020. The data analysis was done by using SPSS 22.0 and AMOS 22.0. The results of this study were as follows: First, social workers under COVID-19 had a high degree of interference in social/leisure activities, family life functions and occupational functions, and the level of experience in corona stress was also high. Second, the risk group of depression among social workers was more than five times higher than that of the general public and in particular, the risk of depression among female social workers and social workers in residential facilities were higher. Third, it was found that the degree of daily life dysfunction caused by COVID-19 had a significant effect on the depression and in this relationship , COVID-19 stress showed a partial mediating effect. Based on these results, we discussed practical and political suggestion to enhance mental health of social workers in the practice field under the COVID-19 situation.
