초록

This study analyzed children’s physical fitness, physical activity, and stress according to their degree of obesity targeting 131 children aged four to five. The result of this analysis will provide basic data important to studies related to children’s life style, exercise capacity, and childhood education. In terms of children’s basic physical fitness, health-related physical fitness elements―total body endurance, muscular strength, flexibility―were measured, and with regard to their technical physical strength, power, balance, and agility were measured. Their physical activity was measured using pedometers, and the stress levels were measured with an analysis of α-amylase, which was a non-invasive way. The results are as follows. According to the review of difference in physical fitness according to their’s degree of obesity, there was a significant difference in physical fitness and power on the right and balance on the left. The review of difference in basal metabolism according to their degree of obesity showed a significant difference. The review of difference in their degree of obesity and levels of stress showed a significant difference. It was found that the reason why they did not exercise at home was because of fine dust (29.2%) and apartment noise complaints (29.2%). Multilateral efforts to help children form a habit of exercising are required.
