Abstract

This study aims to conduct a study to develop a job education program for retired athletes with disabilities. Considering that most of the research subjects have been limited to non-disabled athletes and professional athletes, and that there are few studies related to the retirement of disabled athletes, research on retirement for socially disadvantaged athletes is more necessary. Therefore, the goal of this study is to prepare efficient support measures such as career and jobs after retirement from the perspective of disabled athletes and to develop employment support education. As a support policy implemented by the Korea Sports Council for the Disabled, complaints from the disabled always do not take into account the specificity of the disabled and proceed in the same way as non-disabled retired athletes. Previous studies on job education programs for disabled athletes reveal variables related to job education for retired athletes with disabilities and what factors are necessary for employment for retired athletes with disabilities. As a basic survey for the development of the above-mentioned employment education program for retired athletes with disabilities, the purpose is to understand the attitude of retired athletes with disabilities and their desire for retirement programs. Therefore, this study aims to provide guidelines not only to help retired athletes with disabilities prepare in advance for retirement, but also to efficiently adapt to the new environment.
