국내 장애인 선수 은퇴에 관한 연구동향 분석

장애인 선수들의 은퇴에 관한 연구들이 최근 들어 관심을 받고 있긴 하지만, 지금까지의 연구들이 어떠한 방식으로 진행되었고 어떠한 결과를 내고 있는지에 대한 합의가 부족한 상황이다. 본 연구의 목적은 장애인 선수들의 은퇴에 관한 연구동향을 파악함으로써 앞으로의 연구에 기초자료를 제공하는 것이다. 본 연구의 포함되는 문헌을 검색하기 위하여 4개의 국내 주요 데이터베이스(한국교육학술정보원(RISS), 한국학술정보(KISS), 국회전자도서관, DBpia)에 다음과 같은 키워드와 불리언 연산자를 사용하였다. (은퇴 | 경력전환 | 사회진출 | 중도탈락) and (선수 | 스포츠 | 운동 | 체육 | 엘리트) and (장애). 이를 통하여, 총 84편의 문헌이 검색되었고 Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Review의 가이드라인에 따라 최종 9편의 문헌이 선택되어 본 연구에 포함되었다. 포함된 문헌들은 연구연도, 학술지, 연구방법, 장애유형, 스포츠종목, 연구주요결과의 항목으로 분석되었다. 분석 후 본 연구는 다음과 같은 결과를 도출할 수 있었다. 2011년을 시작으로 은퇴선수와 관련된 문헌들이 출판되기 시작하여 2020년에 들어 장애인 선수 은퇴에 관한 문헌들이 증가하는 추세를 보였다. 조사연구 방식이 주를 이루었고(55.5%), 하나의 문헌을 제외하고 모든 문헌들이 KCI등재지에 출판되었다. 참가자들은 지체장애인들이 주를 이루었고(79.1%), 탁구(13.4%)가 주 연구종목이었다. 본 연구에 포함된 문헌들의 주된 주제는 스포츠 실업팀 고용환경, 장애인 선수 은퇴요인, 장애인 선수의 은퇴 후의 삶임을 발견할 수 있었다. 본 연구에서 도출 되어진 결과는 장애인 은퇴선수들에 관한 연구가 시작단계에 있음을 시사한다. 조사(탐색적)연구를 기반으로 한 기술적 연구와 설명적 연구들이 추가로 이루어져야 장애인 선수들의 성공적 은퇴를 위한 근간이 마련될 수 있을 것이라 사료된다.
Abstract
Studies for retirement of athletes with disabilities have been recently received attention. However, it is unclear regarding the characteristics of the existing research. The purpose of the current research was to explore the research trend of the studies on the retirement of athletes with disabilities. For the literature search, the following keywords: (retirement | career discontinuity | Entry into society | dropout) and (athlete | sports | exercise | elite) and (disability) were used. With this search, a total of 84 studies was found and they were reviewed based on the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Review guidelines. After this review, nine studies were finally included in the current study. The included studies were analyzed by six categories including year, journal, method, participants, types of sports, and main results. A study related to retirement in athletes with disabilities was published from 2011 and more studies were published from 2020. The common research method was an exploratory approach(55.5%), and all included studies were published in KCI-registered journals, except one study. The common participants were athletes with physical disabilities(79.1%) and the common type of sports was table tennis(13.4%). There were three main topics among the included studies, include the working environment of pro sports team for athletes with disabilities, factors for retirement, life after retirement. Based on these findings, research on the retirement of athletes with disabilities may be in a beginning stage. In order to build congregate evidence for the successful retirement in athletes with disabilities, more research using various types of research method such as exploratory, descriptive, experimental method should be done.
