초록

This study conducted a big data analysis using topic modeling (Latent Dirichlet Allocation, LDA) to systematically analyze the temporal trends and major thematic changes in Taekwondo academic research over 35 years, from 1990 to 2024. The research data were based on abstracts of KCI-indexed and candidate journal articles on the subject of "Taekwondo," collected through the Research Information Sharing Service (RISS) in South Korea. The analysis divided the study periods into four phases: 1990–1999, 2000–2009, 2010–2019, and 2020–2024. The results revealed that, during 1990–1999, esearch on the biomechanical characteristics, training effects, and technical strategies of Taekwondo was conducted, establishing an academic foundation. From 2000 to 2009, studies expanded to include Taekwondo dojo management, education, techniques, and the role of instructors. In 2010–2019, research deepened to address dojo management, education, leadership, and efforts to establish Taekwondo as a global sport and cultural content. During 2020–2024, studies highlighted topics such as digital transformation and holistic growth. This study confirms that Taekwondo possesses significant potential for integration across various fields, including education, culture, digital technology, and the global industry.
