Abstract

In this study, it was suggested that the application method using monitoring system based on land vehicle, as a strategy for the effective asset management of the road facility managing agencies and to respond to people’s requirements about various information according as the ubiquitous technologies are developed. Especially, the facilities which are relate to the traffic safety closely, and that the changes are frequent relatively, and also that have a lot of needs from managing agencies were selected as the monitoring objects through this study. And a DB construction method of information was showed that acquired from vehicle while it runs road. Due to photographs and attribute information of road, road facilities are accumulate, the monitoring system based on land vehicle suggested in this study could be used such as the navigation digital map updating or the roadside photo services. And it could be applied to the present state analysis of disaster damage caused by such as a typhoon as well as reduce facility managing cost because rapid acquisition of the needed information is possible.
