초록
Objectives: This study was conducted to analyze randomized controlled trials (RCTs) that evaluated the effectiveness of acupuncture treatment for hyperemesis gravidarum. Methods: The researchers searched 6 databases including The Cochrane Library Central, PubMed, Embase, CNKI, OASIS, and KISS. Studies published between January 2014 and September 2024 were included. The participants, interventions, and outcomes of the selected studies were compared. Results: 7 studies were included in the final analysis, involving a total of 709 patients. 6 studies compared acupuncture treatment with conventional therapies such as fluid therapy or vitamin tablets, while one involved intradermal acupuncture. Most common evaluation index was total efficacy rate followed by TCM symptom score, PUQE, Duration of hospitalization and Ketone body negative conversion rate. All studies demonstrated significant improvements in nausea, vomiting, total effective rates, and TCM symptom scores. Acupuncture was generally well-tolerated, with fewer adverse effects reported compared to conventional treatments. Conclusions: Our findings suggest that acupuncture is an effective and safe non-pharmacological treatment option for hyperemesis gravidarum. Furthermore, acupuncture treatment with conventional treatment could be more effective for alleviating nausea and vomiting during pregnancy.
