3 Cases of Severe Cervical Dysplasia Patients Treated with Combined Therapy including Korean Medicine Suppositories

Objectives: This report aims to investigate the efficacy of Korean Medicine Suppositories to treat severe cervical dysplasia. Methods: 3 patients diagnosed with severe cervical dysplasia were treated with Korean Medicine Suppositories. Korean herbal medication, pharmacopuncture, acupuncture and moxibustion were also conducted on the patients. Pap-smear and Human Papilloma Virus (HPV) DNA tests were carried out after 3 month treatments. Results: Dysplastic cells and Human Papilloma Viruses (HPVs) were not detected from those tests after treatments. Conclusions: This report suggests that korean medicine suppositories can be one of the options to treat severe cervical dysplasia.
