초록
Objective: This study examined the influences of preschooler’s emotionality on externalizing problem behaviors and investigated whether supportive coparenting had moderating effects on the relationship of preschoolers’ emotionality and externalizing problem behaviors. Methods: Participants were 1452 preschoolers(746 boys, 706 girls) recruited for the Korea Child Panel Study. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, correlations, and the multiple regressions. The moderating effect of supportive coparenting was analyzed using the procedure proposed by Hayes(2013). Results: The results indicated that the level of preschooler’s emotionality increases the level of external problem behaviors. In addition, supportive coparenting moderated the influence of preschooler’s emotionality on external problem behaviors. Conclusions: This indicates that preschooler’s emotionality had effect on externalizing problem behaviors, however, supportive coparenting can lower the effect of emotionality on externalizing problem behaviors.
