본 연구는 다문화가족 모(母)의 잠재적인 역량을 개발․강화하여 성공적인 부모역할을 지원하기 위해, 다문화 부모코칭 프로그램을 개발ㆍ효과 검증을 하였다. 연구내용은 부모 정체성 정립을 위해 부모코칭 프로그램에 참여한 다문화가족 어머니의 개인별 변화와 집단별 변화를 살펴보았다. 즉 첫째, 부모정체성 정립을 위한 부모코칭 프로그램에 참여한 다문화가족 어머니의 개인별 변화는 어떠한가? 둘째, 부모정체성 정립을 위한 부모코칭 프로그램에 참여한 다문화가족 어머니의 집단별 변화는 어떠한가? 2008년 7월-9월까지 결혼이주여성과 남편, 다문화활동가에게 다문화가족의 부모정체성 및 부모역량에 관한 요구조사를 실시였다. 이를 기초로 2008년 10월 - 2009년 1월까지 다문화가족 어머니 8명을 대상으로 C센터에서 10회기(20시간)의 프로그램을 실시하였다. 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 부모코칭 프로그램에 참여한 다문화가족 어머니는 부모됨에 대한 부모정체성 확립에 긍정적인 영향을 주었다. 즉 프로그램 참여자 개인은 부모코칭 프로그램의 사전ㆍ후 검증에 부모됨에 대한 정체성과 책임감이 증가하였다. 또한 프로그램에 참여한 다문화가족 어머니의 집단별 변화는 '부모됨의 기대와 행복한 부모코칭', '부모기술 배움', '나의 꿈, 나의 희망 행복한 가족'의 특성을 보여주었다.
Abstract
Research shows that the development and effect of a multicultural parent coaching program has developed and strengthened the multicultural family parents' potential abilities and supported successful parenting and adapting to Korean life. The process of change occurred before and after participating in the program has been analyzed. The Parent Coaching Program attended by multicultural family women participants has been surveyed for research information on establishing parent identity. In July-September 2008, a demand survey which covered multi-cultural activist and matters about identity as well as parent competency was done by married migrant women and their husbands, the. Based on these, from October 2008 until January 2009, nine (9) multicultural family women attended a 10-week (20 hours) program at the center. The results of the analysis in establishing parental identity showed a significant influence by the women who participated in the Parent Coaching Program. Self-confidence and individual identity of those who participated has been established upon verification of the before and after pars of the Parent Coaching Program. The program participants came up with themes for the three stages: expectations of being a parent and happy parent coach, parents’ technical education, and my dreams, my hopes, a happy family, all of which showed change in the group.
