다문화가족을 대상으로 한 '탄력적 부모되기 프로그램' 적용 연구

초록

본 연구는 아동기 자녀를 둔 다문화가족 여성결혼이민자를 대상으로 자녀양육에 대한 자신감과 역량을 강화하고, 가족관계를 증진하는 사회복지실천의 도구로 개발된 탄력적 부모되기 프로그램을 실시하여 프로그램의 효과성 및 다문화가족지원 프로그램으로서의 적용가능성을 검증한 것이다. 본 연구에서는 기존 탄력적 부모되기 프로그램의 회기를 6회기로 단축하여 조정하고, 다문화가족의 특성을 반영하여 자녀양육과 관련된 문화적 차이에 대해 다루는 시간을 추가하여 프로그램을 재구성하였다. 유사실험설계방법을 사용하여 실험집단 6명과 통제집단 7명을 구성한 후 프로그램 실시 전, 종료 직후, 그리고 종료 뒤 1개월 후 시점에서 부모역할만족도, 양육효능감 및 가족관계 점수를 각각 비교한 결과 탄력적부모되기 프로그램은 다문화가족 여성결혼이민자 어머니들의 양육효능감 및 전반적 양육능력을 증진하는데 가장 큰 효과성을 보이는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 이 프로그램은 보다 친밀하고 상호존중적인 가족관계를 형성하도록 하는데도 긍정적으로 기여하는 부분이 있는 것으로 검증되었다. 이에 부모기 다문화가족 여성결혼이민자의 부모역할에 대한 지원프로그램으로서 탄력적부모되기 프로그램이 갖는 실천적 의의와 적용가능성에 관해 제언하였다.

Abstract

This study is about the effectiveness and adaptability of the Resilient Parenting Program, which was developed to help strengthen parent self-efficacy and develop healthy family relationships for immigrant female spouses of multicultural families. The program was practiced once a week for 6 weeks, and focused on dealing with cultural differences in playing parenting roles. The number of participants in the study was 13 immigrant female spouses whose children were in childhood. Using a quasi-experimental design, 6 were in the experimental group and 7 were in the control group. The scores of the two groups from pre-tests, post-tests and follow-up tests were analyzed and compared through the Wilcoxen matched pairs signed rank test and Mann-Whitney U test, 1 month after completing the program. The results of the analyses showed significant increases in the area of parent self-efficacy and family relationship. In conclusion, the effectiveness and adaptability of the Resilient Parenting Program to immigrant female spouses of the multicultural families were confirmed. Also, it is suggested that the Resilient Parenting Program with cultural sensitiveness can be a valuable social work intervention tool for strengthening competence in parenting of immigrant female spouses and healthy family relationships in multicultural families.
