초록
This study defines the concept of Europeanization in terms of the legal implementation (transposition) of the EU directives in each EU member state. The process of transposition of EU directives into the national law can be characterized as the process of administrative incorporation. This fact implies the dominance of executive in the process of transposition of EU directives even if national parliaments have institutionalized their parliamentary scrutiny of EU affairs by establishing the European Affairs Committees. Based on the assumption of the dominance of executive, the present study hypothesizes that the national variations in the transposition rates of EU laws into the national law can be explained by the degree of policy coordination in national coalition governments. This main hypothesis will be tested empirically by employing a cross-national data analysis with the procedure of panel corrected standard errors (PCSE).
