본 연구는 국제 항공운송 분야에서 이루어지고 있는 탄소저감 정책 및 이행과정에 대해 고찰하였다. 특히 기후변화 대응 분야에서 선도적인 역할을 하고 있는 프랑스, 독일, 영국의 탄소중립 정책 및 항공 모빌리티 전략에 대해 검토하였다. 이를 통해 한국의 대응방안 및 시사점을 제시하였다. 본 연구의 시사점은 다음과 같이 요약된다. 먼저 새로운 탄소배출 감축 수단 및 정책의 수립이 필요하다. 둘째 지속가능 항공유(SAF) 개발 및 인프라 지원이 선행되어야 한다. 셋째 저공해 항공기의 도입을 필수적으로 고려해야 한다. 이러한 시사점을 바탕으로 차세대 친환경 모빌리티로 각광받고 있는 도심항공모빌리티(UAM)를 활용할 수 있는 방안에 대해 논의하였다. 먼저 상존하고 있는 문제점에 대해 검토한 후 대응방안을 제시함으로써 장기적인 관점에서 국제 항공분야의 경제성 및 지속가능성을 도모하고자 하였다.
Abstract
This study analyzes the carbon reduction policies and implementation processes in the global air transport sector. Specifically, it reviews the carbon neutrality policies and air mobility strategies of France, Germany, and the United Kingdom, which are leading countries in the field of climate change response. The study concludes with suggestions for Korea's response and implications. The implications of this study are summarized below. First, it is important to establish new measures and policies aimed at reducing carbon emissions. Next, priority should be given to the development of Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) and infrastructure support. Finally, the introduction of low-emission aircraft should be considered essential. With these implications in mind, we discussed the potential utilization of Urban Air Mobility (UAM), which is gaining attention as the next generation of eco-friendly mobility. With a long-term perspective, we aim to promote the economic and environmental sustainability of global aviation by first identifying existing problems and then proposing countermeasures.
