Abstract

For about 20 years, China has made multilateral efforts to enter Africa. However, it is not the only one, emerging countries such as India, Russia, Turkey, Brazil, etc. are too. Africa has thus become the theater of the struggle of the world powers. The purpose of this study is to reveal the meaning and importance of Africa for our economy. We have seen the growth of Africa's GDP by 5% per year over the past 15 years, and we have analyzed the two opposing views on Africa's economic growth. On the one hand, pessimists point out that this growth has benefited from rising commodity prices and is therefore a temporary phenomenon. On the other hand, optimists explain this growth resulting from political reforms. Despite the difficulties to be solved, they consider the growth of the African economy as the result of the change in macroeconomic policy. It is clear that efforts are still needed to address a range of policy challenges to improve human resources. This is essential for sustainable economic growth in Africa. On the other hand, it is worth remembering that the demographic dividend can represent a colossal potential for African economic growth. On our part, let us be particularly attentive to the rapid growth of the middle class resulting from the growth of the economy, insofar as it implies the increase of the consumption in all the domains such as the leisures, the races, the residence, traffic, etc. With the Korean economy stagnating and population aging, it is time to develop our own strategy to penetrate Africa.
