초록
Background : To prepare for an aging society, the government has been promoting community-integrated care policies since 2018. With the main project scheduled to be implemented in 2026, clearly defining the role of Korean medicine practitioners within a multidisciplinary collaboration system is essential. Objectives : This study aims to explore the role of Korean medicine practitioners through the meaning and practical objectives of community-integrated care, thereby establishing the direction for Korean medicine care. Methods : To understand the current direction of community-integrated care, this study reviewed the concepts of care, community care, community-integrated care, and primary healthcare through literature analysis. It also examined the values and practical models pursued by community-integrated care. Results : Within multidisciplinary collaboration, the role of Korean medicine practitioners should be that of primary care providers. Defining this role requires a critical relationship with physicians, and realistically, the ‘Separate model or alternative model’ must be considered. Ultimately, within multidisciplinary teams, physicians and Korean medicine practitioners will each perform the role of primary care provider or consulting physician. Conclusions : When defining the role of Korean medicine practitioners in community-integrated care or establishing subsequent detailed policies, the implications of this model should be reflected.
