Abstract
Objectives : This study investigated whether taking herbal medicine in long-term had an side effect on the liver-injury.Methods : We checked LFT levels of the 58 admitted patients.Results : 1. When we compared Admission LFT levels with Discharge LFT levels, we found the levels of AST, ALT and LDH decreased. This test showed statistically significant decrease.2. When we compared Admission LFT levels with Discharge LFT levels, we found the more cases of Discharge LFT levels belonged to the reference value.3. When we compared Admission LFT levels with Discharge LFT levels, we found the levels of LFT did not increase as high as double the reference value.Conclusions : According to the above results, to taking herbal medicine in long-term did not have an side effect on the drug-induced liver injury.
