North American Chinese literary is considered the center of the New Immigrants Literature, though during the gestation and accumulation of the 1980s and after the development and prosperity of the 1990s, they have demonstrated their maturity and artistic personality characteristics, and nurtured a group of “皊trong ethos of the landmark writer.” The Chinese Canadian writer Zhang Ling is one of the representatives of which is known as the “the overseas Chinese literary novelist”Her unique feminism perspective in writing, subversion and compromised the historical male-centered discourse, and rewriting the relationship between history and women, meanwhile creating self-esteem, self-empowerment and the pursuit of a free woman image.
