일반 성인의 성별에 따른 특성분노, 건강관련 생활습관 및 신체증상

본 연구는 일반 성인 남녀를 대상으로 특성분노, 건강관련 생활습관 및 신체증상간의 관계를 파악하여 효율적인 건강유지 및 건강증진을 위한 기초자료로 활용하고자 수행하였다. 2004년 6월부터 8월까지 서울, 경기, 인천, 충청 지역에 거주하는 일반 성인들을 임의 표출하였으며, 불충분한 자료를 제외한 최종 302명의 설문지를 대상으로 자료 분석을 실시하였다. 수집된 자료는 SPSS Win 11.0을 이용하여 서술적 통계, 카이제곱및 t 검정, 다중회귀분석을 시행하였다. 남성의 경우 특성분노 수준에 따라 음주(p<0.01) 영역에서 통계적으로 유의한 차이가 있었으며, 특성분노 수준이 높을수록 신체적 증상을 더 많이 호소하는 것으로 나타났다(p=0.02). 한편 여성의 경우 특성분노 수준에 따른 건강관련 생활습관의 차이는 없었으나 특성분노 수준이 높은 그룹이 낮은 그룹에 비해 신체적 증상을 더 많이 호소하는 것으로 나타났고(p<0.01), 신체증상의 하부영역 중에서도 전신증상과 근골격계 증상을 더 많이 호소하는 것으로 나타났다. 남녀 모두 신체증상에 대한 가장 영향력 있는 변수로는 특성분노(p<0.01)가 제시되었다. 본 연구를 통해 특성분노 수준이 남녀 성인의 신체증상을 예측하는 가장 설명력 있는 변수임을 알 수 있었다. 따라서 일반성인들의 건강증진을 위해서 효율적인 분노조절 프로그램이 제공되어져야 할 것이다. 추후 연구에서는 분노와 건강간의 관계및 기전을 설명하기 위해 건강관련 생활습관 이외의 생리적 변수들을 포함하여 전향적 연구를 실시해 볼 것과 신체적, 정신적 건강상태에 영향을 줄 수 있는 분노 이외의 다른 심리적 변인들에 대한 반복연구가 필요하다.
Abstract
This study was to identify the relationships among trait anger, health-related life styles(smoking, alcohol, exercise and caffeine) and physical symptoms according to the gender in Korean Adults. The data were collected during the period of June-August, 2004 with structured questionnaires to 302 respondents of over 20 years old who lived in Seoul, Kyung-gi, In-cheon, Chung-cheong do. The data were analyzed using the SPSS Win 11.0program with chi-square test, t-test, ANOVA, multiple regression. The higher trait anger groups included the more alcohol consumption, more perceived physical symptoms in men. There was no significant difference between trait anger and health-related life styles in women. But women with high degree of trait anger was high in perceived physical symptoms. Trait anger was are major factors influencing physical symptoms both men and women. These results suggested that men and women with high degree of trait anger are likely to be high in perceived physical symptoms. However, this study has shown partially correlation between trait anger and alcohol consumption in men. Therefore further research is needed to find the other variables related to trait anger and health status.
