Abstract
Objective : This study systematically analyzed the impact of task-oriented interventions on the independence and daily living of people who have experienced stroke worldwide. Methods : The RISS, KISS, DBpia, Google Scholar, and PubMed databases were search for related studies from August 2013 to February 2023. The main search terms were “stroke”, “independence”, “daily life”, “daily life arbitration”, “recognition”, “ADL”, and “cognitive”. Twelve papers were selected for analysis based on the inclusion and exclusion criteria. Results : Tools evaluating independence in activity of daily living, upper limb function, cognitive function, and quality of life were used to measure the effectiveness of task- oriented interventions. Interventions in activity of daily living by occupational therapists substantially increased the task level of the individuals in all 12 studies. In addition, arbitration in daily life considerably affected the motor function, quality of life, cognitive function, activities of daily living, and psychosocial functioning of people with stroke. Conclusions : Occupational therapists systematically applied task-oriented interventions, with the results confirming the effectiveness of this method. Thus, clinical information and evidence can be appropriately used to guide evidence-oriented interventions in clinical practice.
