지체장애인의 인구사회학적 특성, 체육활동 참여정도, 삶의 질의 예측 모형 검증

초록

본 연구의 목적은 지체장애인의 인구사회학적 특성에 따른 체육활동 참여정도와 주관적 삶의 질을 비교하여그 차이를 규명하고, 체육활동 참여를 예측하기 위한 관계모형을 구축하여 실증 자료를 통해 검증하는 것이다. 설문자료는 19~64세의 성인 지체장애인 322명으로부터 수집되었다. 설문에 포함된 주요 연구변인으로는 인구사회학적 특성 8문항, 체육활동 참여 빈도 1문항, 생활만족도 5문항 이였다. 체육활동 참여에 따른 주관적 삶의질의 차이를 검증하기 위해 계획비교(planned comparison)를 실시하였으며, 체육활동 참여를 결정짓는 인구사회학적 특성 변인을 탐색하고 그 영향력을 규명하기 위해 이항 로지스틱 회귀분석(binary logistic regression)을실시하였다. 마지막으로 인구사회학적 특성변인과 체육활동 참여 그리고 주관적 삶의 질 간의 관계모형을 설정하고 구조방정식 모형(structural equation model) 분석을 하여 다음과 같은 결론을 도출하였다. 첫째, 주 1회이상 정기적으로 체육활동에 참여하는 지체장애인 집단의 주관적 삶의 질이 월 1회 이하의 불규칙적으로 체육활동에 참여하는 집단에 비해 통계적으로 유의하게 높은 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 지체장애인의 체육활동 참여를 결정짓는 주요 인구사회학적 특성 변인은 장애기간, 취업유무, 월수입인 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 장애기간,취업유무, 월수입 변인이 지체장애인의 체육활동 참여 정도에 유의한 영향을 미치며, 취업유무, 학력이 주관적삶의 질에 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 인구사회학적 특성이 체육활동 참여를 매개(moderator)로 주관적 삶의 질에 미치는 간접효과는 취업, 월수입, 장애기간 변인에서 유의한 결과를 나타냈다.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship among socio-demographic characteristics,physical activity participation and quality of life for individuals with disability. Three hundred twenty two adults with physical disabilities aged between 19 and 64 participated in this study. The planned comparison method, binary logistic regression and structural equation modeling were employed for analyses. The analyses showed the following results. (1) Individuals who participated in physical activity once or more per week showed higher level of subjective quality of life compared to the participants who did not. (2)Among 8 socio-demographic variables, occupational status, duration of disability and income showed significant relationship with participation of physical activity. (3) The examination of the hypothesized structural model showed that duration of disability, occupational status, income and the level of education significantly explain the quality of life. In addition, indirect effects of occupational status, income and duration of disability on the quality of life with the physical activity as a moderator were statistically significant. The implication of the results was discussed. key
