장애인스포츠지도사의 이상과 현실: 자격증 취득 후 변화를 중심으로

본 연구는 장애인체육 지도자들이 국가자격 장애인스포츠지도사 취득을 통해 기대했던 점과 자격증 취득 후 실제 지도 현장에서 어떠한 변화가 있었는지 심층적으로 분석하는 데 목적을 두었다. 이러한 목적을 달성하기 위해 2급 장애인스포츠지도사 자격증을 취득한 16명의 지도자를 유목적적으로 표집하여 지도 경력에 따라 개방형 설문과 심층 면담 대상자로 선정하였다. 자료 수집은 2017년 6월부터 10월까지 개방형 설문, 심층 면담, 자격증 취득과 관련된 문서 등의 자료를 다각적으로 취합하여 분석에 활용하였다. 또한, 연구의 진실성을 확보하기 위해 연구 참여자의 내용 검토, 전문가 회의 등 삼각검증법을 시행하였다. 수집된 자료의 분석은 귀납적 내용분석 방법에 따라 분석되었으며, 최종적으로 30개의 의미단위, 12개의 하위주제어, 5개의 핵심주제어가 도출되었다. 연구 참여자들이 자격증 취득 전에 기대했던 것에 대한 2개의 핵심주제어는 첫째, ‘난관을 돌파하는 힘’, 둘째, ‘도약할 수 있는 발판’으로 확인되었고, 자격증 취득 후 지도자들이 느끼는 현실에 대한 3개의 핵심주제어는 첫째, ‘보이는 가치의 상승’, 둘째, ‘뜬구름의 반복’, 셋째, ‘미로속의 고장 난 나침반’으로 나타났다. 본 연구에서는 연구 참여자들이 국가자격증 장애인스포츠지도사를 통해 적합한 지도력, 안정적인 지도환경을 기대하였다는 것을 알 수 있었다. 하지만, 자격증 취득 후에는 국가자격증으로서의 전문성 인정이 주어지는 추세였으나, 여전히 적합한 지도력과 안정적인 지도환경을 확보하는 데는 어려움이 있었다는 것을 확인할 수 있었다.
Abstract
This study aims to investigate what disability sports instructors expected from acquiring the instructor license, and which changes obtaining the license has caused. In order to do so, qualitative research was carried out with 10 randomly selected participants. Subjects consist of disability sports instructor with license. Depending on the experience level, subjects were divided into two groups: those who would get open-ended questions and those who would have in-depth interview. Data obtained from open-ended survey, in-depth interview and other related documents were used for analysis. The conclusion was then divided in to 2 core words related to expectation that participants had before obtaining the license and 3 core words related to the reality they faced after obtaining the license. The followings are the core words regarding the expectations. The first word is ‘Will to Overcome Difficulties.’ This represents the expectations of overpowering difficulties through the process of getting the license. The second word is ‘Stepping Stone for improvement.’ It represents economic, social, and vocational benefits participants expect to acquire by obtaining the license. ‘Increase in Values,’ one of the core words regarding the reality participants face after getting the license represents the pride they have as a holder of official, authorized license. ‘Ambiguity’ represents the gap between the expectation to secure the professionalism and stable working environment and reality they face after getting the license. ‘A Broken Compass in a Maze’ represents the insufficiency of intensive education and training sessions.
