토픽모델링 및 의미연결망을 활용한 지적장애인 대상 특수체육 연구의 동향 분석

Exploring Research Trends in Adapted Physical Activity for Individuals with an Intellectual Disability using Topic Modeling and Semantic Network Analysis

초록

본 연구는 지적장애인을 대상으로 수행된 특수체육에 관한 연구의 주요 주제와 흐름을 토대로 종합적인 연구 동향을 파악하기 위함이다. 이를 위해 지난 20년간의 국내․외 지적장애인 대상 특수체육 관련 연구를 추출하고자 ‘지적장애’. ‘정신지체’, ‘체육’, ‘,신체활동’, ‘스포츠’, ‘운동’, ‘무용’ 등의 주요어들을 교차 적용하였다. 국내․외 특수체육 연구 관련 학술지들을 대상으로 Phython 3.7 Package를 이용한 LDA 알고리즘 기반 토픽모델링 분석과 R프로그램 KoNLP와 UCINE 프로그램을 이용한 의미연결망 분석을 수행하였다. 결론적으로 국내·외 연구 모두 ‘아동’, ‘청소년’, ‘성인’을 중심으로 ‘건강관련체력’, ‘신체조성’, ‘운동수행능력’, ‘운동기술’의 연결망 구조를 이루고 있었다. 특히, 국내 연구에서는 연구대상, 방법, 참여유형, 변인 등 주로 연구수행 자체와 관련된 토픽이 높은 출현 빈도를 보였다. 반면, 국외 연구에서는 연구대상의 신체활동 프로그램 참여에 관한 토픽들이 높게 나타남으로써 국내·외 연구 주제와 흐름, 경향의 차이점을 보였다. 이러한 결과는 지적장애인의 연령에 따라 다양한 특수체육에 관한 연구 주제와 흐름, 지식의 연결구조가 어떻게 국내·외 문헌에서 집적되었는지 체계적으로 분석하고 정리했다는 점에서 의의가 있다. 본 연구결과를 바탕으로 국제적인 연구 동향을 참고하여 지적장애인의 신체활동 촉진과 건강증진을 위한 후속 연구의 노력이 국내에서 더욱 필요할 것으로 사료된다.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to comprehensively explore research on adapted physical activity for individuals with an intellectual disability. We extracted domestic and foreign research in adapted physical activity for people with an intellectual disability over the past 20 years, and key words such as 'intellectual disability', 'mental retardation', 'physical education', 'physical activity', 'sports', 'exercise' and 'dance' were cross-applied. A topic modeling analysis based on the LDA algorithm using Python 3.7 Package and a semantic network analysis using the R based KoNLP and UCINE programs were conducted for domestic and foreign journals related to adapted physical activity research. In conclusion, both domestic and foreign studies formed a network of "health-related fitness", "body composition", "exercise performance ability", and "motor skill," focusing on "children," "youth" and "adult." In particular, domestic studies showed a high frequency of appearance of topics related to the research performance itself, such as research participants, methods, program participations, and variables. On the other hand, foreign studies showed frequent topics on physical activity programs participations for people with an intellectual disability, showing differences in domestic and foreign research topics and trends. These results are meaningful in that we systematically analyzed and summarized how the research topics, flows, and connections of knowledge on adapted physical activity, considering age of people with an intellectual disability, were aggregated in domestic and foreign literature. Based on the results of this study, it is expected that researchers in Korea make further research efforts to promote physical activity and improve health of individuals with an intellectual disability.
