As you may know, the Cultural Revolution ended in 1776. And through the internal struggle over 2-3 years, opened Deng Xiaoping era. Depending on the political changes, cultural activities followed. We calls that “Shanghen Wenxue” or “Fansi Wenxue”. The generation, more than anyone else had a fierce passion in the Cultural Revolution, back out to deny the Cultural Revolution. How should we interpret this phenomenon?First of all, I can not agree that the Cultural Revolution Novels of '80s era followed Mao Zedong's creation principle. But the Cultural Revolution Novels of '80s era did not follows Mao Zedong's creation principle, it starts from resistance to that. And the Cultural Revolution Novels of '90s era also have a serious self-limitation. Because '90s intellectuals face to sense of loss. If we can criticize the Cultural Revolution Novels of '80s was in collusion with the government ideology, we can't deny the Cultural Revolution Novels of '90s was in collusion with the new government ideology, the socialist market economy.
