학벌주의가 학부모들의 인식수준과 사교육의도에 미치는 영향

본 연구는 공교육과 사교육은 상호 보완적이며, 대체재적인 성격을 가지고 있다는 측면에서 접근하여, 사교육 구매에 대한 학부모들의 의사결정과정을 살펴보았다. 사교육 구매의도에 관한 보다 광범위한 논의를 위해, 공교육에 대한 학부모들의 만족정도, 학벌주의, 사교육에 대한 신뢰정도, 사교육비 부담감 등의 변수들을 이용한 개념적인 모형을 수립하였다. 분석결과에 의하면, 학부모들의 학벌주의가 높을수록 공교육에 대한 만족도는 낮았고, 사교육에 대해서는 높은 신뢰감을 보였다. 또한 학벌주의가 높은 학부모일수록 사교육비에 대한 부담감을 많이 느끼고 있었다. 사교육에 대한 구매의도는 공교육 만족도가 낮을수록, 사교육 신뢰도가 높을수록 큰 것으로 파악되었다.
Abstract
This paper investigates the intention of parents of students to purchase the private education service considering the complementary relation between public and private education service. The research model includes the attitudes of parents toward private and public education service, and academic cliquism of parents. The results indicate that academical cliquism of parents is negatively related to satisfaction toward public education service, and positively related to trust in private education service and perceived cost of private education service. Further, satisfaction toward public education service negatively affects the intention to purchase private education service, and trust in private education service strongly affects the intention to purchase private education service.
