This article is a review on Professor Ryu Yeong Ha's recent book Chinese Nationalism and Hong Kong Nativism: Focusing on the Storytelling of the Hong Kong Museum of History (Pusan: Sanjini, 2014). The reviewer believes that Ryu's study is valuable especially because it considers "Hong Kong nativism" not as a goal, but as a method to construct Hongkong-ness and to accordingly imagine and materialize the future of Hong Kong.
