This study aims to clarify the meaning of political representation in Shanghai in Korea novels. In the relevant literature in Korea, China, the Shanghai Literature would want to actively find a new imaginative geography. The writers of the colonial Korea imported Shanghai as their narrative space is approximately 1930. This period can be grasped from a macro perspective of the transition to capitalism in the late imperialism in the flow of world history that the calling of the Great Depression and fascism. Shanghai novel went largely to the background of a two-pronged direction in this historical context. One of the ideal type was a realist from experience, stay in Shanghai, the other one fled from the historical reality through the cliché of the genre format.
Abstract
