제주국제자유도시 추진기구에 대한 검토

Abstract

A Study on Jeju Free International City Development Center Song Seok EonKorea has established several types of Special Economic Zones such as Duty-free Zone, Free Trade Zone, Foreign Free Investment Zone, Exclusive Foreign Industrial Complex and Free International City. Recently, Korean Government published the programme of establishing a new type of Special Economic Zone and makes progress for law-making. But, there are insufficient researching papers concerning Special Economic Zones whose names and concepts, geographic boundaries, relevant laws and regulations, and preferential treatment measures pertaining thereto. Jeju Free International City means a space that deregulates economic activities and grant several preferential treatment in order to introduce foreign capital and goods, allow free access of foreigners to Jeju and enhance the competitiveness and the quality of life of Jeju.Jeju Free International City Development Center (JDC) is established as a specialized corporate organization that can pursue both the public interest and profitability by implementing of development projects. Direct government investments and the revenues from operating domestic duty-free shops will fund the development resources. Jeju Free International City Development Center (JDC) perform JFIC development. Role of Jeju Free International City Development Center is key-point for successful Jeju Free International City. So, this study aims to adequacy of JDC. In conclusion, because JDC have the point at issue, we should try to improve the system of an executive body.
