라쇼몽 효과의 사유적 접근을 통한 공간 특성 연구

Abstract

In the modern society, multicentric and composite characteristics that prioritize individuality and polysemy emerge. To this, Rashomon effect's indeterminate thinking method assumes important meaning in the modern society. Rashomon effect that stems from director Kurosawa Akira's film, [Rashomon] is the concept that claims that completely different interpretation may result depending on individuals' subjective perception. This reflects the paradigm of the modern society that reacts flexibly depending on situation, and its meaning is expanded as the space that changes with unlimited latent potential. Accordingly, this research sought to present new space domain of the modern society that is open towards all directors by analyzing the diverse thinking systems that are manifested in the Rashomon effect. The results are as follows. First, domain of unconsciousness that generates dynamic space depending on the situation after deviating from fixed and determinate system was discovered. Second, it was possible to witness the relationship of differences in which vague space is created by the free combination of non-hierarchical elements. Lastly, "simualtion" process that creates diversity of space while unfolding the meanings that were otherwise latent was discovered. Based on this, Rashomon effect's characteristics that are manifested from the case studies of the modern space were analyzed. This research examined the formative meaning of the Rashomon effect and proved the correlation with space. Accordingly, Rashomon effect's thinking system that is presented in this research is closely correlated with the changes taking place in the modern space. This research is likely to present the direction for the modern space that is changing fast, and to help to understand the space that is required going forth.
