Abstract

The purpose of this study is to find an improvement plan for the curriculum of the students at a beauty college in Gyeongsangbuk-do and to assess their satisfaction with their major according to the vision that they put on, which is then used to help develop beauty as a new study. The result of the study is as follows: Prior to entering beauty college, many of the students have received associated early education at beauty academies, and skin care was the most studied among various majors. As the students advance to the next year at school, aesthetic awareness by them has increased due to their increased education level, which positively affects the vision for their major. Also, the students who received early education at beauty academies tend to be satisfied with their major while the students who are positive about the vision for their major tend to be more satisfied with their major than their counterparts are.Therefore, in line with the early beauty education that students receive before entering college, if specialized techniques are re-taught by securing professors with hands-on experience and if the techniques are treated not only as technical education but also as in-depth academic learning, beauty students' vision for and satisfaction with their major will increase as well as helping select majors. So I can expect that beauty, which determines one's external image, will position itself as a firm academic learning just as fashion does.
