실내공간의 지속가능성 구현을 위한 마감재의 적용연구

Abstract

Along with economic feasibility, the concept of sustainability to realize environmental and social feasibility has become a global paradigm. In residential field, sustainable residence is suggested as a concept embracing social meanings such as equity, strengthening of regional society, and conservation of culture together with the original form of emphasizing eco-friendliness. Various problems caused by the materials of residential space such as health and environmental pollution, which are recently becoming issues, tell us the importance of choosing and applying sustainable materials. Therefore, this study was conducted in the aim of suggesting the application of materials and developing direction to increase the quality of residential space through material application situation analysis of residential area that gives a great influence on the residents’ living environment. The result of analysis showed that the percentages of applying sustainable material in interior space is taken about 50%, along with applied each space(floor-wall-ceiling), has different of the rate. And presenting that the materials with characteristic of social sustainablity were largely applied due to the fact that interior space is greatly influenced by capacity of material and the residents’ needs. However, there was a lament that the part of concerning with manufacturer and operator was not sufficiently reflected about sustainablity. Therefore, to realize sustainability of genuine meaning, it is necessary for a study to be conducted regarding the material that can sufficiently improve recognition, along with social and cultural agreement and institutional support that go beyond the immediate efficiency and convenience. This study is expected to be used as a fundamental document for developing and applying materials aiming for sustainability that can be applied to residential space in the future.
