Abstract
This study presents the findings of previous research and theories related to mobile phones. Precisely speaking, it provides in-depth knowledge on the characteristics of sensory information based on two precedent studies. The first study was conducted with students and the second one was conducted with UI(UserInterface) experts. ‘Touch’ has recently become a major issue in Information Technology (IT) industry. The touch-style mobile phone has been popular since last year and it lead to a totally new interaction. Unlike tactile sense technology, previous devices was only confined to audio and visual senses. Current mobile phones start providing tactile sensory information although UI fails to consider the relationship between sensory information and diverse heuristic information. In other words, UI doesn’t support cognitive process. Despite this backdrop, this study defines similarities and differences of the sense and also suggests an integrated UI development. To sum up, the study extracts unknown phenomena while sensory information is being integrated and analyzes emotions of users when they perceive sensory information. Again, this study yields insight into heuristic information to users.
