도시 공공공간에서의 영상시설물 디자인 표현방법에 관한 연구 - 부산 광안리를 중심으로 -

도시 공공시설물은 공공디자인 분야의 중요한 구성요소이며, 그중 영상시설물은 최근 디지털 미디어기술을 활용한 중요한 공공 연구 분야이다. 영상 기술의 급속한 발전은 영상시설물의 디자인 표현 방법 및 수단을 제공하며 실현 가능성을 높이고 있다. 본 연구는 한국의 부산광역시 수영구 광안리 지역을 연구지로 해당 지역의 공공공간 내에 위치한 영상시설물을 대상으로 분석연구를 진행하였다. 본 연구는 연구대상지를 조사하는 과정에서 공간구문론(Space Syntax)의 연구기법을 적용하여 도시공간의인구 유동 상황을 비교적 정확하게 파악하였다. 이는 광안리 연안지역의 공간적 특성을 분석하고 연구하는 데 유리하며, 대상지 선정의 도시 공공공간 타당성 설명에 대한 이론적 뒷받침을 제공된다. 본연구과정에서 우선 국내·외 도시의 공공공간에 설치한 영상시설물의 대표적인 사례에 대한 정보를 분석한다. 그리고 연구대상지인 부산광역시 광안리의 도시 공공공간 분석과 광안리에 설치된 기존 영상시설물의 현장 조사, 설문조사, 영상의 내용, 설치 위치, 외관 정보, 기능, 디자인 평가 등에 대한 현황정보 분석을 통해 해당 지역의 영상시설물에 적용된 디자인 표현 방법을 연구 및 정리하였다. 연구 결과를 보면 단일한 영상 수출 방식보다 일부 보조요소에 힘입어 종합적인 표현 방법을 주로 이용하였고, 이는 영상시설물의 표현형식을 증가시킬 뿐만 아니라 표현구성의 내용을 확충하여 영상정보의 효율적 전달성을 높일 수 있다. 본 연구를 통해 해변 공간과 도심 공간이 결합된 복합적인 특성을 지닌도시의 공공공간을 위해 공공연구의 범위를 보완하여 도시 공공공간의 시설물에 대한 기능적 디자인방안을 제공하고 영상시설물에 대한 보다 유연한 조합 방법을 통해 흥미를 제공할 수 있는 디자인 방향을 현실적으로 제시할 수 있도록 하였다
Abstract
Urban public facilities are an important component in the field of public design, and among them, video facilities play a significant role in public research topics using digital media technology. The rapid development of imaging technology provides better methods and means for design expression through imaging facilities and increases the feasibility of its implementation. In this study, an analysis was conducted targeting image facilities located in public spaces in the area of Gwangalli, Suyeong-gu, Busan, Korea. And the analytical method of space syntax was applied in the process of this study in research sites in order to accurately grasp the population flow situation in urban spaces, which is beneficial for analyzing and researching the spatial characteristics of the Gwangalli coastal area and providing theoretical support for the explanation of urban public space feasibility of site selected. In the course of this study, information on representative examples of video facilities installed in public spaces in domestic and foreign cities is first analyzed. In addition, through the analysis of urban space in Gwangalli, Busan, which is the study site, the field studies of existing video facilities installed in Gwangalli, questionnaire surveys, and the usage of video content, installation locations, exterior information, functions, and design evaluations, the image of the area is analyzed. Design expression methods applied to facilities were researched and organized as well. According to the results of the study, compared with a single image export method, a comprehensive expression method was mainly used, thanks to some auxiliary factors, to provide functional design methods for urban public space facilities. And this method could expand the scope of public research for urban public spaces in beach and urban areas with complex characteristics, offer a more flexible combination of image facilities and present a design direction that is not only applicable in realistic situations but interesting in its nature.
