본 연구는 지속 가능 개념을 도입한 제로웨이스트 패션디자인을 구현함으로써 환경을 고려하며 지속가능 패션디자인을 제안하고 상품화의 가능성을 제시하는데 목적이 있다. 연구 방법과 범위는 지속가능과 제로웨이스트 디자인의 개념을 고찰하고 관련 선행연구들을 기반으로 제로웨이스트 패션디자인의 구현 방법을 사례들과 함께 분석하는 것이다. 이러한 과정을 통해 제로웨이스트 디자인 구현 방법을 도출하고 작품에 적용하며, 총 3점의 패션디자인 구현 및 제안을 한다. 그 결과, 도출된 구현 방법은 제로웨이스트 패션디자인을 위한 작품에 적용 가능하며, 제로웨이스트 패션디자인의 창의적인 아이디어 근간이 된다. 더불어 도출된 방법을 통해서 제로웨이스트 패션디자인 구현을 위해서는 제로웨이스트를 위한 패턴 구성과정이 필수적이며, 제로웨이스트를 위한 디자인은 곧 패턴 구성과정과 동시에 이루어진다. 직사각형 원단 본연의 모양을 그대로 사용한 직선적인 형태의 패션디자인은 재단 과정의 잉여 원단을 제로화하는 제로웨이스트를 위한 패턴 구성에 매우 적합하다. 사용된 울 원단은 재단시, 올 풀림이 없고 제로웨이스트 패션디자인 구현을 위한 최적화 원단임을 확인할 수 있었으며, 동일한 사이즈의 직사각형 패턴을 레이어드로 봉제함으로써 미니멀디자인에 심미적 가치를 더해 유니크한디자인 구현이 가능하다. 제로웨이스트 디자인 구현을 위해 도입한 아이디어는 제로웨이스트 패션디자인 상품화의 가능성을 높여준다. 따라서, 본 연구는 사회 전반적으로 이슈화되고 있는 환경의 필연성에 착안하여 지속가능한 디자인에 주목하였으며, 실현 방법인 제로웨이스트 패션디자인을 연구하고실물로 구현하였다. 지속가능한 디자인을 위한 새로운 시각의 해석과 연구를 통해 심미적 가치와 실용적 가치를 겸비한 고부가가치의 제로웨이스트 패션 상품들이 지속적으로 제작되길 바란다.
Abstract
The purpose of this study is to propose a sustainable fashion design that considers the environment by implementing zero-waste fashion design that introduces the concept of sustainability, and to suggest the possibility of commercialization. The research method and scope examined the concepts of sustainability and zero waste design and analyzed the implementation method of zero waste fashion design with examples based on related previous studies. Through this process, a zero waste design implementation method was derived and applied to the work, and a total of three fashion designs were implemented and proposed. As a result, the derived implementation method can be applied to works for zero waste fashion design and becomes the basis of creative ideas for zero waste fashion design. In addition, in order to implement zero waste fashion design through the derived method, a pattern composition process for zero waste is essential, and the design for zero waste is done at the same time as the pattern composition process. A straight fashion design that uses the original shape of a rectangular fabric as it is is very suitable for pattern composition for a zero waste that zeroes out surplus fabric in the cutting process. When cutting, it was confirmed that the wool fabric used was an optimized fabric for implementing zero waste fashion design, and by sewing the same size rectangular pattern in layers, it is possible to implement a unique design by adding aesthetic value to the minimal design. The idea introduced to implement zero waste design increases the possibility of commercializing zero waste fashion design. Therefore, this study focused on sustainable design based on the inevitability of the environment that is becoming an issue in society as a whole, and studied and implemented zero waste fashion design, a realization method. Through the interpretation and research of a new perspective for sustainable design, we hope that high-value-added zero waste fashion products that combine aesthetic value and practical value will be continuously produced.
