Draft Genome of Stenotrophomonas sp. BSUC-16: A Multi-Trait PGPR with Chitinase Activity and Biocontrol Efficacy

This work reported the draft genome of Stenotrophomonas sp. BSUC-16 previously isolated from rhizospheric soil of agricultural field of Anand, Gujarat, India. The Stenotrophomonas sp. BSUC-16 genome included 119 contigs with 4,228,589 bps, 66.8% GC content, 7rRNA, 84 tRNA and 10,450 protein-coding genes. Moreover, 161 genes related to carbohydrates, 4 gene clusters to antimicrobial metabolite biosynthesis, and 45 genes to phytohormones and plant benefits were identified in the genome. The genome resource of strain BSUC-16 could be useful for the next characterizations concerning agricultural applications.
