Abstract
This study analyzed the pattern changes of tailored collar jackets according to the type of fabric (jersey, wool, leather) for women in their 20s who are sensitive to wearability, and developed jacket patterns for each type of fabric using 3D virtual wearing simulation technology. In addition, tailored collar jacket patterns using three fabrics (jersey, wool, leather) were developed using 3D CLO simulation, and the influence of the physical properties of each fabric on the fit of the jacket was analyzed. It was confirmed that the fit of the jacket pattern significantly differs depending on the type of fabric, and that this can be reviewed more efficiently through 3D virtual wearing simulation. In particular, it was found that the characteristics of various fabrics such as jersey, wool, and leather provide different wearing comfort, and that pattern modification is essential accordingly. In particular, jersey showed a higher fit suitability than other fabrics due to its elasticity and soft wearing comfort, while wool showed a morphologically stable fit due to its thickness, but required some leeway due to this. Leather has a sense of structure and weight compared to other fabrics, and has the characteristic of trying to firmly maintain the shape of a jacket, so it needed more room and three-dimensional pattern modifications compared to jersey and wool. This study suggested the possibility of reducing the gap between experimental design and actual product production by utilizing 3D virtual fitting technology. Through 3D simulation, it was possible to design an optimized pattern for each type of fabric, and through 3D CLO simulation, a pattern suitable for each fabric was designed and the physical characteristics of the fabric were accurately reflected, resulting in significant time and cost savings compared to the traditional sample production method.
