초록
Komagataeibacter saccharivorans KS1 was isolated from a kombucha SCOBY. Whole-genome sequencing revealed a 4,036,451 bp circular chromosome with a GC content of 58.8%. Genome annotation predicted 3,947 protein-coding sequences, 59 tRNAs, and 15 rRNAs. Functional annotation identified six methylxanthine demethylase genes and two oxidoreductase genes involved in caffeine metabolism. This study provided insights into the genomic characteristics of K. saccharivorans KS1 and supported its potential as a promising candidate for caffeine degradation. It could be applied to low-caffeine fermented products and environmental biotechnology.
