초록
Terrabacter sp. R4-6, isolated from the rhizosphere soil of pepper plants in Sunchang, Korea is a soil actinobacterium that is more abundant in healthy pepper plant rhizospheres than in diseased rhizospheres. Strain R4-6 has shown strong control activity against bacterial wilt caused by Ralstonia solanacearum. We analyzed the whole genome sequence of Terrabacter sp. R4-6. Sequence analysis revealed that Terrabacter sp. R4-6 had a single, 4,638,837-bp circular chromosome with a DNA G+C content of 71.8%. This chromosome included 4,228 protein-coding sequences and nine rRNA and 47 tRNA genes. Gene functional analysis revealed that R4-6 possessed genes encoding salicylate biosynthesis-related enzymes, genes related to iron uptake and potassium transport, and a superoxide dismutase gene. These genome traits support that R4-6 can be used as a biostimulant for enhancing plant resistance to bacterial wilt.
