Abstract

The purpose of this research is to examine the effects of employees' participation in corporate arts sponsorship. Specifically, this research aims to examine the relationship between employees' attitude on participation in corporate arts sponsorship and organizational outcomes. Also, the study focuses on identifying the moderating role of CSR-organization fit. The survey was conducted for employees who had experience participating in corporate arts sponsorship at their own enterprise level, and a total of 407 questionnaires were used. The results showed that employees' attitude on participation in corporate arts sponsorship was positively related to organizational civic behavior and organizational commitment. Moreover, organization–CSR fit significantly moderated the relationships between employees' attitude on participation in corporate arts sponsorship and organizational outcomes. These moderating effects showed that organization–CSR fit enhanced the relationships between employees' attitude on participation in corporate arts sponsorship and organizational civic behavior, organizational commitment. Therefore, the study suggests the importance of employees' participation in corporate arts sponsorship and gives theoretical and practical implications for effective corporate arts sponsorship.
