Abstract
The purpose of this study is to analyze the effects of service quality evaluation factors of platform service users on purchasing behaviors of platform users and the moderating effects of users’ individual characteristics. To attain the purpose, this study analyzed the effects on users’ trust, satisfaction and purchasing intentions, based on data on service quality evaluation of users about platform services of companion dogs that are practically being provided in the nation. Regarding service quality factors, the 4 on-line service factors: security and efficiency, transitivity and availability were utilized to measure the platform service quality of companion dogs. The effects of such evaluation outcomes on users’ purchasing attitudes were analyzed. Individual characteristics of platform users were divided into the 5 factors: cognitive styles, shopping dispositions, self-efficacy, technology anxiety and interactive desire dispositions for measurement. Regarding the effects of service quality evaluation on users’ satisfaction and purchasing intentions, the moderating effects of such individual dispositions were analyzed. The analytic results of this study reveal that the quality evaluation on the 4 service factors has the significant effects on users’ satisfaction, trust and purchasing intentions. Besides, it is indentified that individual characteristics of users control the effects of the 5 service quality factors on users’ satisfaction and purchasing intentions. Such results of this study would be expected to provide concrete guidelines on the direction of the development of platform services to companies that carry out multiple platform businesses including companion dog platform.
