Abstract

The purpose of this study is to investigate the mediating effect of employability on the relationship between leade-member exchange(LMX) and organizational commitment. Specifically, this study aims to find the relationships among the research variables and the mediating effect of employability. For further understanding about the relationship among the variables, the analyses about mediating effects of employability were conducted on the separate two different groups including leaders and team members. The result showed the statistically significant correlations among research variables. In addition, the result confirmed the partial mediating effect of employability on the relationship between LMX and organizational commitment. Further analysis showed this mediating effect depends on the organizational job position; the mediating effect of employability was not found in the analysis with the data from leader group. Based on the study foundation, both theoretical and practical implications were presented. Also, the suggestions for future study were provided.
