MDGs에 기반한 나눔학습 활동이 대학생의 지적·정서적 효과에 미치는 영향

전 지구적 과제를 해결하기 위해, 2000년 UN에서는 189 개국 지도자가 모여 15년 내에 기아를 없애는 것을 포함하여, ‘MDGs(새천년 개발목표: Millenium Development Goals)’를 세웠다. MDGs는 지구촌 사회에서 살아가는 오늘날 현대인에게 요구되는 시대적 사명이자 책임의식이며 학습되어야 할 부분이다. 이것이 바로 우리 인류가 21세기 ‘함께 사는 사회’를 실현해 내는 기본적 요소인 ‘나눔학습(Sharing learning)’인 것이다. 이제 한국 사회는 홀리스틱교육 관점에서 새천년개발 목표(MDGs)에 대한 올바른 이해를 구하고 학교뿐만 아니라 지역사회에 MDGs에 기반한 나눔학습에 대한 학습모형 및 교육성과 보급이 절실히 필요한 시점이다. 이 연구에서는 지구촌 시민이 함께 해결해야 할 전 지구적 과제인 MDGs를 기반으로 한 나눔학습(sharing learning)이 대학생들의 지적·정서적 효과에 미치는 영향을 자기효능감, 사회적 책임감, 학습동기, 과제수행도, 교과목 만족도 등 5가지 종속변수로 나누어 탐색해 보았다. 그 결과 피험자 내 요인, 즉 처치효과인 MDGs나눔학습 활동이 참여자 특정 변인의 수준과 관계없이 지적․정서적 효과에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타나 앞으로 한국 현실에서 보다 체계화 된 홀리스틱 나눔학습 모형을 구상하는 데 의미 있는 시사점을 던져 주었다. 이상과 같은 결과들은 학교 및 지역사회 현장에서 세계시민으로서 갖추어야 할 홀리스틱 나눔학습 모형 및 교육성과에 기초적인 자료를 제공해줄 것이다.
Abstract
Ours is a world of extremes. The Poorest 20 percent of the world population - the 1.2 billion people who live on less than $ 1 a day - account for five percent of global income, while the richest 10 percent account for 54percent. Never before has the goal of abolishing poverty been within our reach: there are no longer any insurmountable technical, resource or logistical obstacles to achieving it. Yet, more than 800 million people suffer from hunger and malnutrition, 1.1 billion people do not have access to clean drinking water and, every hour, 1,200 children die from preventable diseases. The eight Millennium Development Goals(MDGs), a set of time - bound goal designed to respond to the world main development challenges are drawn from the Millennium Declaration that was adopted unanimously by world leader at the UN Millennium summit in september 2000. Therefore MDGs sharing learning programs must master should provide the focus for intervention from sharing and human development perspective. So this study tried to analysis the outcomes factors(self efficacy, responsibility of citizenship, academic motivation, task management, subject satisfaction) on sharing Learning of University Students based on MDGs.
