Abstract
Modern military Command and Control systems (C4I) require both real-time information processing and robust cybersecurity in the face of increasingly sophisticated cyber threats. In particular, the Republic of Korea's C4I infrastructure central to operational command and mission transmission demands a policy-centric security architecture that overcomes the limitations of traditional perimeter based models. This study proposes a security policy framework tailored for military C4I environments, grounded in the Zero Trust Architecture (ZTA) 2.0 guidelines. The proposed structure incorporates ZTA’s core principles continuous verification, least privilege access, and policy based control and enables dynamic policy branching and enforcement in various operational contexts such as information access, command transmission, and insider threat detection. The architecture aims to balance real time security with operational efficiency and presents the potential for future integration into broader national security governance structures, offering strategic scalability.
