기독교대학 간호학생의 영적간호교육의 효과

본 연구는 간호학생을 대상으로 영적간호교육을 제공하여 간호학생의 영성, 영적요구, 영적안녕, 영적간호역량에 미치는 효과를 검증하고자 시도하였다. 연구설계는 비동등성 대조군 사전-사후설계의 유사실험(nonequivalent control group pretest-posttest design)연구이다. 연구대상은 J도 소재 2개 4년제 대학 간호학과 4학년 학생 60명(실험군 30명과 대조군 30명)이었으며, 연구기간은 2017년 3월부터 5월까지였다. 교육프로그램은 주 1회 2시간씩 총 8주간 실시하였으며, 수집된 자료는 SPSS WIN 24.0을이용하여 분석하였다. 연구결과 교육 후 실험군의 영성, 영적요구, 영적안녕, 영적간호역량은 대조군보다 유의하게 향상된 결과를 보였다. 본 연구의 영적간호교육은 기독교대학의 이념 아래 간호학생의 영성과 영적요구, 영적안녕을 증진하고, 영적간호역량을향상하는데 효과적인 교육임을 확인할 수 있었다. 따라서 인간의 영성에 대한 이해를바탕으로 한 영적간호교육이 간호학의 필수교육과정으로 운영될 수 있도록 제도적 뒷받침이 필요하리라 생각된다.
Abstract
Purpose: This study was to verify the effects of spiritual care education for nursing students’ spiritual needs, spiritual well-being, and spiritual care competence. Methods: The study employed a non-equivalent control group pretest-posttest design in a quasi-experimental basis. Subjects were 60 students(30 in an experimental group and 30 in a control group). They were the 4th grade nursing students chosen from two Christian Universities in J-Do. From March to May 2017, the experimental group participated in the spiritual care education. The program consists of courses with 2 hours a week for 8 weeks. The data were analyzed using χ ²-test, Fisher’s exact probability test, t-test with the SPSS WIN 24.0 statistics program. Results: The experimental group had a higher mean score for spirituality, spiritual needs, spiritual well-being and spiritual care competence than the control group. Significant differences were found between the experimental group and the control group. Conclusion: The results of this study indicate that the spiritual care education was effective in improving spirituality, spiritual needs, spiritual well-being and spiritual care competence for nursing students.
