초록
This research paper examines the theological arguments of the Cornwall Alliance which is firmly committed in propagating anti-environmentalism for its evangelical constituency. It exerts a considerable level of influence as evangelical Christians in North America tend to be highly skeptical of climate science as well as its policies. The theological reasoning employed by Cornwall Alliance certainly deserves closer scrutiny in the era of anthropogenic global warming. This paper critically examines the recurring themes of Resisting the Green Dragon, which set out to demonize environmentalism. In doing so, we re-evaluate the major theological discussions of human free-will in relation to God's sovereignty; second, the dualistic view of the physical world; third, the authority of man in relation with other creation and lastly, the style of Cornwall Alliance's rhetoric in conveying its biblically motivated message.
