This article is to focus on the approach and application in practical program for welfare mission for the aged in Korean church. The population of aging peoples has so rapidly increased in the 2000s. However, the government social security is very weak, also Korean church is not interested in welfare and mission for the aged. This situation brings churches to consider about the welfare mission more seriously. The practical programs for welfare mission for the aged are very significant sphere of social welfare to Korean church. This paper is to analyze programs and practices for welfare for the aged through social service in the Korean church community. The church should realize the missional direction toward the social responsibility. The church can provide service not only spiritual needs but also social needs toward the aging poor peoples. By doing this way, the church and government can support together hand in hand to achieve better environment for spiritual and physical living. For the welfare and missional practice, I want to recommend several suggestions to the church. Firstly, we can recognize mission for the aged welfare to Korean church community. We understand that the church must practice important social responsibility for social welfare. Secondly, We need a networking and partnership among the local church, mission group and government for social service. Finally, We can use practical resources materially, financially and culturally in the church for the welfare and mission for the aged. We need flexible strategy and plan in various missional direction for development of welfare mission for the aged in Korean church.
