The main purpose of this paper is to examine Baek-seok's ‘Bukbang Poetry’ which were composed while he was living in Manchuria. Baek-seok left for Manchuria around between 1939 and 1940 and came back to Korea after the 1945 Liberation of Korea. The term ‘Bukbang Poetry’ is a appropriate title which refers to a series of poetry which were wrote by him during that period. His experience in Manchuria was not an escape from his individual situation but an attempt at poetical temper and romantic urge. The poems which he wrote during that period have distinct qualities compared with his earlier works. Baek Seok tried to understand the meaning of Manchurian's life and their custom, He also feel compassion for Manchurian as fellow sufferers sympathize with each other, especially chinese poets Du Fu or Li Po. In the ‘Bukbang Poetry’, especially poetic speakers looked back the passed time and space by a process of his deepening of thinking. We can know Baek-seok's internal reflection shows acceptance of fate and self-love in his ‘Bukbang Poetry’.
