초록

This paper investigates the identity of Korean missionaries. To do so, I look at the subject in a couple of different ways. After providing with an overview of Korean missionaries, I use two social factors of grid and group which were first suggested by Mary Douglas and used by Sherwood Lingenfelter. I, then, use four frames of organizations. The argument of this paper is that they fall into the categories of the bureaucratic and the individualist type and provide the basis of the argument.

Abstract

This paper investigates the identity of Korean missionaries. To do so, I look at the subject in a couple of different ways. After providing with an overview of Korean missionaries, I use two social factors of grid and group which were first suggested by Mary Douglas and used by Sherwood Lingenfelter. I, then, use four frames of organizations. The argument of this paper is that they fall into the categories of the bureaucratic and the individualist type and provide the basis of the argument.
