PCK(Presbyterian Church of Korea, 예장통합) 미래선교를 위한 선교구조 개혁과제 연구 : 본부중심 구조에서 현장중심 구조로의 전환 모색

Abstract

This research is an outline of the "Mission Strategy for the Future" presented at the 2017 PCKWMF(World Missionary Fellowship) Leadership Conference. As a missionary theorist rather than a missionary theorist, this study provided the basis for concrete strategies for future missions and hoped for high quality advice and instruction from authentic mission experts who participated in the conference. The contents of this presentation are limited to the following several areas. First, future mission is tomorrow of present mission. Therefore, I look forward to future mission through present mission situation. Second, the mission strategy reflects the specificity of the times and the regional specificity. One strategy can not be applied uniformly in all cases. Therefore, this presentation aims to find the direction of PCK mission strategy according to the nature of the meeting. Third, missions are field practice ministries. Therefore, establishment of mission strategy should be centered on field workers. It is necessary to think about the establishment of mission strategy centered on the positions of field workers. Fourth, the future mission strategy will be examined focusing on improving the mission structure among the various elements constituting mission. We will examine the mission structure of the mission that consists of the missionary, the mission headquarters, and the support churches, and explore the possibility of conversion from the existing central structure to the field-based structure. If the mission of the PCK future mission strategy is to change, it is time for the missionaries to take the lead in complementing the structural limits of the General Assembly’s World Mission department. The General Assembly delegated the administrative tasks of missionary practice to PCK World Mission(PCKWM). PCKWM has delegated some administrative tasks to the local mission fellowship(PCKWMF), which is the administrative organ of the General Assembly. However, the mission administration structure leading to the General Assembly – PCKWM - PCKWMF has been urgent to manage administration tasks rather than establishment of administrative structure mission strategy. In addition, there is not enough capacity to control or direct the local church mission which has led mission fields. As a result, in addition to simple administrative support, field missionaries are demanding a new structure to meet various needs such as establishment of mission strategy needed in the field, presentation of mission direction, and care for missionaries. If the PCKWM is more focused on the PCK future mission strategy with the missionary's future, we expect to be able to create the field-centered missions structure in charge of the mission of PCK in the near future.
