본고는 성경이 제시하는 복음의 구체적 내용과 적용점을 로잔 운동의 관점에서 연구함으로서 교회 개혁의 바람직한 방향성을 모색해보고자 하였다. ‘온전한 복음(Whole Gospel)’이란 복음의 한 부분만 편중하여 강조하는 것이 아니라 복음의 전체적 내용들을 모두 균형 있게 수용하여 실행하는 것을 말한다. 성경적인 온전한 복음의 요소는 하나님의 말씀, 성령의 능력, 공동체, 정의, 선교이다. 온전한 복음에 비추어 종합적으로 진단해 볼 때 한국의 교회는 하나님의 말씀에 대한 기초는 건강한 편이나 말씀의 실천에는 부족하다. 성령의 역사는 중생과 성화를 강조하는 성령의 내적 역사에 치우쳐 있는 가운데 성령의 능력은 미약하다. 공동체에 관해서는 교회가 실제적인 공동체가 아니라 개념적인 공동체의 상태에 머물러 있다. 가난한 자와 함께하는 사회 정의를 추구하는 사역 역시 매우 취약한 단계이다. 선교는 원심적 선교인 해외선교는 강점을 보이나 사랑의 공동체를 통한 구심적 선교는 미미한 상태이다. 교회 개혁은 ‘복음의 근본’으로 돌아가는 운동이었다. 복음의 근본은 복음의 전체적 내용을 균형 있게 수용하여 실천하는 것을 말한다. 로잔 운동이 온전한 복음의 내용이 무엇인지 정확하게 제시한 것은 교회 개혁을 위한 귀중한 공헌이라고 볼 수 있다. 세계와 한국의 교회도 복음의 전체적인 내용인 말씀, 성령의 능력, 사랑의 공동체, 사회 정의, 선교를 통합하는 ‘온전한 복음’의 근본으로 다시 돌아갈 때 비로소 ‘온전한 교회 개혁’을 이룰 수 있을 것이다.
Abstract
This article has looked at the direction of the reform of the Church through the meaning of the whole gospel in the perspective of Lausanne Movement. The whole gospel does not emphasize only some parts of the contents of the gospel, but accepts and practices whole contents of the gospel. The whole gospel includes the Word of God, the power of the Holy Spirit, the community of love, the social justice, and the mission. It is a valuable contribution that the Lausanne Movement suggested the contents of the whole gospel for the reform of the Church. When we refer to the contents of the whole gospel, the Church of Korea is seriously unbalanced. When the contemporary Church of Korea returns to the whole gospel which integrates the Word of God, the power of the Holy Spirit, the community of Love, a social justice, and the mission, then the Church of Korea will be able to be reformed in full schedule and to extend the kingdom of God.
