대학 교양교육에서 '글쓰기 윤리'의식 제고 방안 - 창의적 글쓰기 영역을 중심으로

Abstract

This study explores how to improve the effect of writing ethics education. Most of writing ethics educations aims to prevent plagiarism in academic writing. This study has significance by exploring how to prevent cheating, which may occur in creative writing, not in academic writing. For improving the effect of 'writing ethics' education in creative writing, there is a need to pay attention to the followings. First, it is required to help writers recognize well that they are members of 'writing community'. Second, writing ethics education, which is based on an understanding of modern writing environments like the internet, is needed. Third, it is required to help in broadening an understanding of literary writing that is based on intertextualities such as parody, hommage and montage. (It is required to help learners escape from obsession that they must 'create something new'.) This study suggests two education methods for ethics improvement in creative writing. The first method is to make learners experience the boundary between plagiarism and creation by organizing a writing community. The order is as follows; 1) Show more than three texts with the same topic to learners. 2) After grouping, make materials for writing through a discussion. 3) Individual writing. 4) Compare complete writings to each other. (Find the same sentences, the same description methods, similar images, etc.) 5) Discuss creative writing and plagiarism. The second method is a program to copy one text in two ways. The order is as follows; 1) Copy the form of text only. 2) Copy both content and form of text. 3) Compare two texts. 4) Explore autonomy of writing and ethical problems. The education methods presented in this study are focused on helping learners understand the influence relationship between their writings and existing writings by themselves. This education is meaningful by helping learners set an ethical guideline of writing on their own.
